Website Development Frequently Asked Questions
What do I get for $450? A complete website for a full year. You get a domain name, hosting, up to 6 custom web pages, and up to 10 E-Mail accounts. Allowances: 50 MB storage, 3 Gig traffic/month. Prices may vary based on actual required content.
What will my website look like? Anyway you want. You play an integral part of the website design process. You decide the color scheme, what the pages say, and how the pages are arranged. We can use your existing logos and pictures. You tell us what to do, and we make your website come to life. If you are unsure of what you want, we can offer advise and suggestions that will make your website attractive and useful.
Can I accept credit-card payments through my website? Yes you can. In fact, you can accept many other types of digital payment methods as well. We can develop a custom interface with PayPal that allows your customers to feel confident in paying you securely. Your customers DO NOT need a PayPal account to pay you through PayPal. Interface development starts at $175.
How does the process work? First, you fill out our Website Quote form, or send us an E-Mail with details of what kind of website you would like to have, and your contact information. We will review your request and determine the feasibility. We will get back to you and set up a conference, either by phone or Internet Chat, to discuss the details or your site. After the conference, a down-payment of $50 is required. Then we will design a few sample pages for your approval. Once you approve the samples, you pay the remainder of the the agreed upon price. Then we will start building your real website. The whole process can take as little as 5 days, but actual development time may vary.
What other services do you offer? (additional charges may apply) Credit-Card payment processing. FTP accounts and access to your website. Database setup and integration. ASP pages for custom interaction.
I need a big website. How much will extra pages cost? Prices for extra pages will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We encourage you to send us an E-Mail with your actual requirements for a quote.
I already have a website. Can you redesign it? Yes. We can use your existing domain and\or hosting plan to develop your website.
What if I need to make changes to my website in the future? Additional page development is $80/hour. Billing is in increments of 15 minutes. That means small changes may cost as little as $20.
Will my website show up in Yahoo and Google? Most websites show up in search engines within 30-60 days. Search Engines are privately-owned systems, and Digital Dawn Software can not be responsible for actual indexing or ranking.
What happens after a year? Billing is yearly. 10-11 months after your we create your website, you will receive an invoice to renew your website for an additional year. The renewal price is typically half the cost of the first year. To renew, simply pay the invoice. If you do not wish to renew your website, just let your current year lapse. There is no additional obligation.
